Why Radio?
I’m doing radio because it gives me a platform to positively impact
the society, it liberates me to be who I am while influencing another
person on the other side who needs that hope and push.
Which other radio stations have you worked for?
I can say Vuma FM is my first home as far as radio is concerned
because I was with Radio DUT for less than a month before joining Vuma FM.
Did you study radio?
No, I didn’t study radio. I rather hold a Human Resource Management Degree.
Besides radio, what other projects are you currently busy or involved with?
I am currently working on career guidance project that will be on the
ground this year. I’m very excited about it because we have a lot of
work to do as far as guiding young people into choosing the right and
relevant careers.

Who is your South African radio icon?
I have quite a few favs, in no particular order, my icons are Siya
Mhlongo, Anele Mdoda, Leko Ngcobo and Dineo Ranaka.
What can we expect from you in the next five years?
Expect showtime! I will be giving you the best version of myself as a
host, a radio and TV presenter and more projects.
How often do you listen to other radio stations and which radio
station do you usually listens to?
I listen to radio when I’m on the road now because life just got
busier by day. I listen to my favs shows and they cover the entire
prime time, so no need of station dropping. We can’t give them free
airtime, right!
What has working on radio has taught you?
Working on radio has taught me a lot of things. I’ve learnt that you
are as good as your last show, therefore you need to always give your best at all times. I have also learnt that sometimes standing up for yourself and what you believe in can work against you, but asingagxili lapho. Being on radio also teaches you not to ralax, you should always be on your toes and try to keep yourself positvely relevant.

What advice can you give to aspiring radio broadcasters?
A piece of advice I can give to aspiring radio presenters is, chasing
fame will not get you anywhere, do the work. Get mentors who can guide you in the journey, be teachable and be very hinest with yourself.
