Why Radio?
When I was a kid I used to listen to radio all day long even at school if I get a chance, I almost failed my grade 7 because of my focus on radio not school. I think I was curious what is going on in this little thing called RADIO, the love of radio grew in me till I was like I really want to speak inside this radio one day. I didn’t know what to do, I finished school in 2012 then I went straight to school of radio to get more knowledge. To answer your question, Radio speaks to people and I love to communicate with people, inform them etc.

Which other radio stations have you worked for?
After my studies I joined Highway Radio 101.5 FM for my internship of 6 months, that was in 2014. After that I joined RadioDut as a content producer, then in a week I ended up having my own show. While I was at RadioDut, Archie Majola offered me an opportunity to be his content producer on his show called The Big weekend Breakfast show on Vuma 103 FM, same year our contract ended at Vuma then we joined DYR also known as Durban Youth Radio. He took the programs manager position, then I took Saturdays 7 to 10pm and the show was called The Weekend live. I did that show till 2020, when Vibe 94.7 FM station manager, Lucky Dlamini, approach Archie Majola about me to come and join Vibe 94.7 FM. I’m still with Vibe 94.7 FM, I’m doing 12 to 3pm since 2020.

Did you study radio?
Yes I did, it's very important to get knowledge about your craft, there's a lot of techniques you need to learn before you go on air and be a successful presenter.

Besides radio, what other projects are you currently busy or involved with?
Currently I'm working on opening my own Broadcasting academy as I'm working for someone and I also work with creatives, I'm currently working with Fey as her manager.

Who is your South African Radio icon?
It was Vukani "Chill M" Masinga, oh it’s still him because I still listen to his podcast. And Rob Forbes, he was working for 5FM but now his off air.

What has working on radio has taught you?
To be Bold, walk tall and also to listen to others, respect and love. I have learned to listen first before action, also it gave me the feel of working with people.

What advice can you give to aspiring radio broadcasters?
Wooo Heee! Go to school, finish your matric, enroll radio course, don’t be a celebrity here, work your butt off, in this radio thing we don’t rest, because if you rest you expire.
